Annual Ryegrass Plant Growth Regulator 2020

With the increased use of plant growth regulators, MFSA is working on producing date to support registration on a number of grass seed Crops.   In 2020 MFSA conducted trials on Annual Ryegrass.

Trefoil Herbicide Screening 2019

Trefoil has always been a forage seed crop that has not had many herbicides registered for use.  During 2019 MFSA conducted several small plot screening trials with the Norton and Classic herbicides.  Please note both products are unregistered, have high residual soil carry over and should not be used commercially until more data can generated and the products are registered.

Plant Growth Regulators in Other Grass Seed Crops 2019

Plant growth regulators have been researched in other grass seed crops for a number of years in both Canada & the United states.  The Manitoba Forage Seed Association has been working together with Saskatchewan and Alberta gathering data to apply for registration on a variety of grass seed species such as annual ryegrass, fescues and bromegrass.
